We provide access to responsive and innovative rehabilitative support options to those with an acquired brain injury in Northern Tasmania.

Li-Ve Tasmania and TABIS are moving to the Queen Victoria building!

Li-Ve Tasmania’s northern office and its TABIS division are moving to a single location at Level 4, 11 High Street Launceston. We’ll be leaving the Cameron Street and Invermay Road buildings on Friday 23 February and open for business in our new premises the following Monday. (We have a busy weekend planned!)

Our new location is light and airy, it has plenty of parking, and there’s heaps of room for everyone. So, from Monday 26 February, you can visit us on the fourth floor of the Queen Victoria building.

Parking: There is plenty of three-hour metered parking on the street.

How to find us: Come in the main entrance but bypass the main lifts. Use the second set of lifts down the hall. Just follow the signs.

Dr Wurth: For appointments with Dr Wurth, just come to reception on the fourth floor and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Hours: Our hours won’t change, so you can visit between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Due to the social isolation many people with an acquired brain injury experience, they are unable to access the benefits of the range of contacts and social networks utilised by the general community.

The mission of Tasmanian Acquired Brain Injury Services Inc. (TABIS) is to reduce/remove this social isolation by promoting the availability of, and assisting people with acquired brain injury to access a diverse range of community options.

Learn a wide a range of skills in painting, drawing, jewellery making all pottery. All taught in a variety of mediums by professional artists.

Carers Program

Come and join others who are supporting people living with an acquired brain injury. We meet Bi- Monthly in the community, where you can share, learn and gain increased support from those facing similar challenges to yourself.


TABIS is a Registered Service Provider with the National Disability Insurance Agency.

As a Registered provider of supports, we have met requirements in relations to qualifications, approvals, experience and capacity for the approved supports.
